About Me

  • Since I was old enough to carry a bucket and a net down to the local pond to catch turtles, wildlife has been a fascination of mine.

  • My experiences with the wild world have been extensive and wide-ranging. Starting in high school I worked at a raptor rehabilitation center. Then, after getting a degree in zoo technology, I went on to work at zoologic facilities in several states. I even had the chance to explore the cloud forests of Costa Rica and the lemur filled jungles of Madagascar.

  • In all cases, wildlife conservation has been my overriding concern.

I’m very active in wildlife photography. My main focus is birds but I never miss a chance to get a shot of a reptile, mammal or invertebrate when the opportunity arises. I’ve even occasionally dipped my toe into photographing flora when a certain flower or fungi piques my interest.

  • I hope my pictures help you appreciate the wild world, even if you can’t get out and explore it yourself.
